Learning Theories are research based models that provide insight on how people learn.

Behaviourism - stimulus response

Cognitivism - teacher centered learning outcomes
Social learning - students learn from one another by observing and modelling from others
Constructivism - interaction, reshaping or transform information to construct meaning and understanding e.g. role plays

Research as Inquiry frame demonstrates that the more you read the more you identify gaps in the literature or knowledge.
